I originally wrote these walkthroughs in 1998 when I was 14 years old. I am currently in the process of going through each main story walkthrough, making the descriptions better, adding photos, and adding a link to my walkthrough video for that section.
I am also adding all the info I didn’t add when I was 14, including all the bottle locations, and Skultulla locations, etc. This site can also track your progress if you’d like (it’s all stored on your local browser - there’s no cookies or ads here). I hope this website is as helpful as it was for the people who were using it decades ago for Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Walkthrough
Twenty-four chapters in story order, Young Link era first. Each chapter is a single page with screenshots from the N64 release and notes for the Switch 2 remake where the layout differs. Reading time per chapter ranges from twenty minutes (Kokiri Forest) to over an hour (Spirit Temple).

Items
Every pickup, every bottle, every empty slot. The bottle pages are the most complete subsection right now; equipment, songs, and masks are in progress. Start at the Cucco Lady bottle if you want to see the page format, or jump to the bottle index or the full items list.
Side Quests in progress
The long-tail stuff: trading sequences, mask collection, collectibles, minigames, the hundred small detours that turn a 30-hour run into 50. Planned entries include Heart Pieces (all 36), the Biggoron's Sword trade, the Mask of Truth quest, Bombchu Bowling jackpots, and Great Fairy fountains. Gold Skulltulas (all 100) already have their own tracker page.
Maps in progress
Annotated and overlaid. The kind I drew by hand on graph paper in 1998, redone properly. Planned entries: Hyrule overworld, dungeon maps, Lost Woods routing.
FAQ
Q. How do I get to the Forest Temple?
A. As adult Link, get the Hookshot from the well in Kakariko, then return to the Sacred Forest Meadow. Use the Hookshot on the tree branch above the entrance.
Q. Where is the Slingshot?
A. Inside the Deku Tree dungeon, second floor — in a small treasure room you reach after climbing the vine wall.
