Biggoron's Sword Side Quest

The full Biggoron's Sword trading sequence in Ocarina of Time — every trade in order, from the Pocket Egg to the Claim Check, with the timed steps flagged.

The longest side quest in the game: a chain of trades as Adult Link that ends with Biggoron’s Sword — a two-handed blade twice as strong as the Master Sword that never breaks. Several steps are timed (⏱) — the item spoils or expires if you take too long, so head straight to the next person. You can speed up day/night by playing Sun’s Song.

The trading sequence

#1Pocket Egg Talk to Anju the Cucco Lady in Kakariko Village — she gives you the Pocket Egg.

#2Pocket Cucco Wait until the next morning (or play Sun’s Song) and the egg hatches into the Pocket Cucco.

#3Cojiro Use the Pocket Cucco to wake Talon, asleep in the house on the north side of Kakariko. The Cucco Lady then gives you Cojiro, the blue cucco.

#4Odd Mushroom ⏱ Timed Take Cojiro to the Lost Woods (first left) and wake the sleeping man, Grog — he trades you the Odd Mushroom.

#5Odd Potion ⏱ Timed Rush the Odd Mushroom to the old hag at the Kakariko Potion Shop before it spoils — she makes the Odd Potion.

#6Poacher's Saw ⏱ Timed Bring the Odd Potion back to the Lost Woods; Grog is gone, so give it to the Kokiri girl (Fado) there for the Poacher’s Saw.

#7Broken Goron's Sword Give the Poacher’s Saw to the carpenter boss, Mutoh, in Gerudo Valley — he hands over the Broken Goron’s Sword.

#8Prescription Take the Broken Goron’s Sword to Biggoron atop Death Mountain Trail. His eyes hurt, so he gives you a Prescription.

#9Eyeball Frog Show the Prescription to King Zora in Zora’s Domain (thaw him with Blue Fire first) — he gives you the Eyeball Frog.

#10World's Finest Eye Drops ⏱ Timed Rush the Eyeball Frog to the scientist at the Lakeside Laboratory in Lake Hylia — he makes the World’s Finest Eye Drops.

#11Claim Check ⏱ Timed Carry the Eye Drops back to Biggoron before they dry out. He starts forging the sword and gives you the Claim Check.

#12Biggoron's Sword Wait about three days (play Sun’s Song to pass time), then trade the Claim Check back to Biggoron for Biggoron’s Sword.
