Track all 36 Pieces of Heart in Ocarina of Time — every location grouped by Child Link and Adult Link, in roughly the order you reach them, with checkboxes saved in your browser.

There are 36 Pieces of Heart hidden across Hyrule — every four you collect adds a full Heart Container. Unlike Gold Skulltulas, the game gives you no on-screen counter, so this page is your counter. Entries are grouped first by era (Child Link / Adult Link) and then by region, in roughly the order you reach them in a normal playthrough. Child Link

Lost Woods

#1 Ocarina Take the first left from the entrance and play a song for the Skull Kid on the bridge — he hands you a Piece of Heart.

#2 Ocarina Past the first right, win the ocarina “repeat the notes” memory game against the two Skull Kids.

Hyrule Castle Town

#3 Night At night, follow the white dog wandering the Market and return it to the woman in the back alley.

#4 Night, Lens of Truth Win the Treasure Chest Game in the Market (the Lens of Truth makes it trivial; otherwise it’s luck).

#5 Bombchus Win a round of Bombchu Bowling in the Market — a Piece of Heart is one of the prizes.

Lon Lon Ranch

#6 In the silo, pull the crate away from the corner and crawl through the hole behind it.

Kakariko Village

#7 Climb to the rooftops (ladder near the Cucco Lady’s house) and cross to the piece by the caged cow.

Kakariko Graveyard

#8 Night At night, pay Dampé for his grave-digging tour and dig where he stops on the dirt mounds.

#9 Sun's Song Open the grave in the back row, drop in, and use Sun’s Song to freeze the ReDead so you can claim the piece.

Goron City

#10 Bombs Light the torches to spin the large pot, then toss a Bomb Flower inside at the right moment.

Death Mountain Trail

#11 Bombs Reach the ledge above Dodongo’s Cavern entrance with a backflip — or ride a Magic Bean planted here as a child.

Zora’s River

#12 Cucco Carry a Cucco up the angled ramp and glide across to the piece on the pillar.

#13 Cucco Use a Cucco (or the Hover Boots as an adult) to reach the platform by the upstream waterfall.

#14 Song of Storms Play Song of Storms for the singing frogs on the lily pads — see the Singing Frogs page.

#15 All ocarina songs After playing every song for the frogs, win their insect rhythm minigame — see the Singing Frogs page.

Zora’s Domain

#16 Deku Stick Light all the torches around the domain with a Deku Stick to open the chest holding the piece.

Lake Hylia

#17 Fishing Catch a big enough fish at the Fishing Pond and have it weighed for a Piece of Heart.

#18 Golden Scale Dive to the bottom of the Lakeside Laboratory tank with the Golden Scale.

Hyrule Field

#19 Bombs Bomb the fenced patch near the Lake Hylia entrance and buy the piece from the Business Scrub in the grotto.

#20 Bombs, Golden Scale Bomb the lone tree west of the Market, drop into the grotto, and grab the piece underwater (Golden Scale or Iron Boots).

Gerudo Valley

#21 Cucco Glide down with a Cucco to a ledge and climb behind the waterfall.

#22 Cucco Reach the crate on the cliff with a Cucco as a child (or the Longshot as an adult) and roll into it.

Adult Link

Kakariko Graveyard

#23 Magic Bean Ride the bean stalk (planted here as a child) up to the ledge and roll into the crate.

#24 Longshot Beat Dampé’s race a second time, Longshotting the torches to finish in under a minute.

Kakariko Village

#25 Hookshot Reach the platform inside the windmill via Dampé’s maze.

#26 Longshot, Day Longshot up to the rooftop and talk to the man there to receive a piece.

Zora’s Fountain

#27 Hop across to the Piece of Heart resting on a floating block of ice.

#28 Iron Boots, Zora Tunic Sink to the fountain floor with the Iron Boots and Zora Tunic to grab the piece.

Ice Cavern

#29 Blue Fire Melt the red ice with Blue Fire in the room of falling icicles.

Lake Hylia

#30 Magic Bean or Scarecrow's Song Reach the Lakeside Laboratory roof by riding a bean or summoning Pierre with Scarecrow’s Song.

Death Mountain Crater

#31 Enter the crater from the top and climb down to the piece tucked in an alcove.

#32 Magic Bean Ride the bean sprout (planted near the warp as a child) up to the top of the first smoking pillar.

Gerudo’s Fortress

#33 Epona, Bow, Day Score at least 1000 points in the Horseback Archery game.

#34 Longshot or Scarecrow's Song Reach the chest on the fortress roof with the Longshot or by summoning Pierre.

Desert Colossus

#35 Magic Bean Ride the bean (planted as a child via the Requiem of Spirit warp) up to the rock arch.

Kakariko Village — Skulltula House

#36 50 Gold Skulltula Tokens Collect 50 Gold Skulltula tokens and talk to the cursed family in the House of Skulltula.
